Benjamin R. Tucker and the Champions of Liberty: A Centenary Anthology
Published in Hardcover by Michael E Coughlin (May, 1987)
Authors: Michael E. Coughlin, Charles H. Hamilton, and Mark A. Sullivan
Average review score:

Very Good
This anthology covers the American anarcho-individualists gathered around Benjamin Tucker in the latter part of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century. The essays do a pretty good job covering different aspects of these figures, their acts and disagreements and so forth. Those with a particular interest in these individuals will want this book, but it lacks wider relevance. Anarchists of other stripes may also find it of interest.

Blessed Art Thou Among Women: Reflections on Mary in Our World Today
Published in Hardcover by Hungry Minds, Inc (November, 1997)
Authors: Cynthia Fox, Joshua Simon, Robert Sullivan, Melanie Deforest, and Vivette Porges
Average review score:

Not just another small art gift book
Unlike many books of this style, the emphasis is on the text rather than the art. The art is a marvelous collection of Marian works by Ann Rayme, Leonardo da Vinci, Henry Ossawa Tanner, anonymous "folk" art, J. Michael Walker, Fra Filippo Lippi etc.

The text ranges from Biblical to contemporary; they are longer than is often the case in similar books - some are memories, some philosophical or theological reflections. The works are selected from individuals such as Robert Sullivan (in Life magazine), Patricia Pfeiffer, Uta Ranke Heinemann, Fr. Robert Bullock, Jaroslav Pelikan, Terrance Simien (zydeco musician). The volume gives short descriptions - just a few words - to identify the authors.

An excellent book for individual devoted to our BVM.

Bras and Penus on a Date: A Guide for Surviving the 7 Stages of Dating to Create a Loving, Lasting, Subpeona-Free Relationship
Published in Paperback by Sullivan & Foster Pub (April, 1999)
Authors: Debbie Kasper Su.C., Elliot Sullivan, and Raymond Larrett

bras and penus on a date
Although this book is a parody of the Mars and Venus trilogy, it is one I could not put down and sat on a stool in the book store laughing out loud. I had to buy it in order to finish it without being thrown out of the store on my ear. It is well worth reading, especially if you need a good laugh concerning the ongoing saga of dating. What a find!

A Camera in a Room: Photographs (Photographers at Work)
Published in Paperback by Smithsonian Institution Press (September, 1995)
Authors: Abelardo Morell and Constance Sullivan
Average review score:

Surprising and beautiful.
This is a wonderful book. Morell is able to bring to life eveyday objects, making the world suddenly new and strange. The beauty of it is that he uses straight and simple photography to do this, rather than distorting the negatives through cheap tricks. He surprises us at every turn and his pictures are both fascinating and beautiful.

Civil War At Sea, The
Published in Library Binding by 21st Century Books (April, 2001)
Author: George Sullivan

The Civil War at Sea Review
The Civil War was always thought to be a land battle. The author of this book George Sullivan, proved that there were just as many battles on land as on sea.
This book talks about many sea captains, such as the most known of the Civil War David Farragut. Farragut is known for his many battle victories, and the famous quote "Damn the torpedos". Which was recited as he advanced up the Mississippi River towards Vicksburg.
George Sullivan used both pictures and words to express his thoughts on the battle. One of his best pictures was is of the battle at Hampton Roads.(It was the first ironclad on ironclad battle.)The South had and ironclad named the Merrimac, which was a captured Union ship. They cut off its masts and plated it with iron. It was big and slow, resembling a big floating roof.
George Sullivan explains how the Merrimac was renamed the Virginia and was headed North sinking any ship in its path. Luckly the North had been building their own ironclad named the Monitor. The Monitor was small and agile with one large revolving cannon on the top. They met in a great battle at Hampton Roads were the battle ended up in a stalemate. The Monitor later sunk in a violent storm, and the Virginia was burned by its captain in hope that it was not captured.
All together this is a well written book. I gave it a four because it wasn't very lengthy, but it had good pictures that explained the words. I recomend this book for studying, because it's short and placked with information.

This is a great book. I have recommended it to many friends who are seeking a change to their current professions. It picks up where "What Color is Your Parachute?" leaves off. Highly recommended read.

College Algebra Enhanced With Graphing Utilities
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall College Div (January, 1999)
Author: Sullivan
Average review score:

This was a competent book with one small problem.
College Algebra is quite authorative on the subject matter covered and helps the student grasp the key points as well as some of the finer points of Algebra. While I was in this course I had the most difficult time trying to find certain supplements the book suggested that were put out by the publisher. They had no knowledge of the material at the company but it was clearly stated in the text. All in all the overall text and message of the book was rather competent and illuminating.

Average review score:

Wonderful For Beginners!
'Complete Book of Calligraphy' is a very colorful and easy to understand book. I would suggest this title for anyone, new or well versed in the art of calligraphy. This book shows the endless possibilites that lie right at the end of a pen. Calligraphy can be used in so many creative ways, more than I even imagined! I thought calligraphy was just pretty words, but this book shows me that it goes well beyond that. This would also be great for gift-giving!
